The Part-Time CASA Advocate Coordinator provides professional staff support to CASA volunteers, ensuring that children involved with the CASA program receive sound advocacy and early permanency planning. The CASA Advocate Coordinator’s primary responsibility is coordinating CASA Volunteer cases through the judicial process; this includes, but isn’t limited to training, mentoring, coaching and assisting volunteers to bring their cases to completion. Secondarily, the position is also responsible for a variety of general tasks necessary to the successful management of the program, including advocate training, data maintenance and tracking, file management, and special events and functions. The position works under the general direction of the Executive Director, in a collaborative, highly confidential environment. There is a frequent need for exercising a high degree of independence. Successful candidate must be available to work intermittent evenings, must have personal car, current Oregon driver's license and auto liability insurance. Spanish language proficiency would be a definite plus. This position is part-time, 30 hours/week, non-exempt.
